Right, the deal is that I've got my head boy application, but I think I might be writing too much. For the question
QUOTE
What are, in your view, the major strengths of our school and our weaknesses

i've written about 300 words

is this too much?

You don't want them to hate you but too long is safer than too short. If it's too short you'll look like you don't care.
Is everything making a relavent point? If it is then thats probably fine.

Or do what I did.

Claim you shall never be or even want to be a school captain, say how you think the whole idea is totally and utterly ridiculous and not even needed nowadays and that you think it a whole popularity contest. Then perhaps go into a lengthy discussion about how you think school captains are always the same breed of GEEK and oh-so-full of themselves

...and then get forced into the unwanted position of School Captain by some over-enthusiastic teachers who are trying to prove a point!

Hahaha, thats a brilliant idea!!

Im thinking of running for head girl in 6th year (Im 5th year just now) but I doubt I'll actually get it considering the whole thing is a popularity contest (in my school anyway!)

It's the same in mine, except that this year the popular people only got to be vices, and our Heads are just regular people really. biggrin.gif I'm hoping the same happens next year too...

Thats quite good actually. In my school we gave 2 head boys/2 head girls...so there is a slightly better chance I'll get picked but Im still not being hopeful...would be nice though considering I'm Vice captain of the football team and am in all the teacher's good books!! tongue.gif
