I found the mulitple choice really hard! It wasn't like the past papers at all!
Did anyone ever get taught the structure of amino acids?! I didn't have a clue which one was guanine or thymine!

I quite liked the essay questions. Did the one on postive and negative interactions!

I liked the fact that most of the unit 2 stuff wasn't two hard!

Hated the data handling question - it took me so long to do!

That was a horrible exam. But not as bad as our prelim! Now that was terrible! The head of bio had bought it from some company, and didn't let any of our teachers see it before the prelim, so they couldn't give us any hints! Meanie! tongue.gif

Did anyone do Physiology as the specialist unit?! They were really good questions!

Anyway, two down out of my nice three exams in a row! No more advanced highers, wooo! Thing is, i'm completely shattered, and I have another exam tomorrow morning. sad.gif Help!

Look at Q10 again people and can you decide whether it is A or B, if you look closely at the INITIAL first second it is less than 0.8. Any ideas?

I thought the exam was pretty fair - and detritivores are saprotrophic (feed on decaying organic matter), not heterotrophic.

in Q10, i took the mass of product formed in 10 seconds, which was 8mg, and divided it by 10. which gave me 0.8.

Same, and it's the same if you do it for one second as well, so the initial rate is definitely 0.8!

How about question 8? I put C but its possible that T the transmembrane protein is not counted as integral. Any ideas?

I thought that was a rather sneaky question - I put R only because S isn't integral, it's peripheral, so it couldn't be one with S in it.
