How hard do you think the 2006 paper was compared to to others and what grade do you think you have?

I want to know how many people found the 2006 Higher Maths exam to be more difficult than the 2005 exam, so that I can [perhaps] get a rough idea of what the grade boundaries will be.

I reckon that it definately was more difficult than 2004/2005, but still not too bad. I voted OK, and think I've got a B (my target grade)

I thought it was hard it was not alot like the previous past papers I did but I answered more than the prelim (where I got a D) so I think I may have managed to pass with a C this time, if not then D. I'll be happy enough aslong as it isn't a 'No Award'.

I was so sure this morning i was going to get a C for Maths (i got an ! for my preilum...support one didn't go so well so theres not much chance of an apeal) But paper one seemed to ok ok(ish)

Paper two was harder in my opinion. The -2 +2 thing kinda confused me alot tongue.gif

I reeeallly want to get an A but i get the feeling I will only get a B (or worse C sad.gif)

No, 54/130 for a d, which is 41/42%ish. If he was saying percentages, it would be impossible for an A1 tongue.gif

They're bands. An 'A' can be either band 1 or band 2 depending on marks.

A band 1 and 2. Another ingenious idea from the SQA so that instead of saying you got 5 As and being incredibly happy, people ask you what band, so if you got 2 1s and 3 2s, you can't feel as happy anymore. Just makes it harder to feel perfect if you're a perfectionist. tongue.gif

Me? Bitter? Nooooo.

Yeah but you only find out your bands if you ask so don't bother asking and assume they were all A1 wink.gif

I thought the exam was alright , 2nd paper was much easier than the first!
Mucked up the big 7 mark question in the 1st paper, but im really hoping for my A which is what I think i was estimated to get (got high A's for my prelim and the extra evdience prelim we did). ohh i hope i get an A, maths is like the only exam that I can kind of do, no problems (normally)
Grrrrrr!!
