paper one was a joke... some of the questions were easier than our NABs!
paper two was pretty easy too, apart from boundaries in question 12 and the radians in question 10. but apart from that, all is good!

Hey, hope everyone did okay.

I thought paper 1 was harder than paper 2, but hopefully I've done okay in it.

Anyone get this for Q. 12 Paper 2 :

Greatest value = 32 when x=2
Smallest value = 20 when x=1 or x=4 ?

I used the end points, (1,8) and (4,2), to get the minimums.

Wow the exam was a god send!! biggrin.gif

Paper 1 was trickier than Paper 2 in my opinion, in fact I think Paper 2 was extremely easy.

I'm confident about getting an A.

i got that too... unfortunately it's wrong (because of the boundaries i think) but we should hopefully get 6/7 marks out of 8 for it!

What did everyone get for the ohmy.gif 8 marker?

And how do you do the 7 marker in paper 1? mad.gif

Was the 8 marker the one at the end of paper 2? Then 20 as a minimum and 32 as a maximum, for x=1 and x=2

I think that's right but i have no idea how i got it.

I realised how to do question 7 just after walking out, paper one having ended. But now I've forgotton what the question was lol. I remember that because it was equal to zero, the 2sinxcosx and sin x were also equal to zero. Which meant that all you had to do was to sketch the graphs of sinx and cosx, and take it from there.

I completele sh*gged up the simultaneous equations in q.1. Feel ashamed to have been sitting higher maths just for that lol

so glad it's over, thought paper 1 wasn't too bad and paper 2 wasn't that much harder, although i made a couple of stupid mistakes

as for optimisation i got greatest value as 128, smallest 32, but i knew part of it was wrong since it didn't match up with my nature table, oh well, at least some marks will go towards the working!

Would somebody be able to give me their answer for Question 3, Part b from Paper II please? I thought there was a mistake when I saw the question, but perhaps I'm wrong.
