just did the higher maths....

think it went really well! so im hopin for an A

thought paper 2 was easier than paper 1 but even paper 1 wasnt that difficult!

got so pissd off at the start of paper 1 because i wrote the co ordinates down wrongly so i got a weird answer for the altitude.... and then for part c the simultaneous equations went crazy n i was gettin huge answers! but then sorted it out at the end when i realised.... overall i think it went well tho!

the only question i dont think i did well was question 5 on paper 1!

another thing... can u write down 2 different solutions to the same question if u dont know which 1 is right? because on qu 3(b) on paper 1 i didnt kno if the minimum value was 7 or -9 so i wrote down both!

how do you think u did?

Paper 2 was a killer. I think I'm going to go cry in the corner now. >.<

Hey, i thought paper 2 was easier.

But overall, both the papers we're fu**ing hard!

If I don't have an A, then I've probably *just* missed it by one or two marks. I felt Paper 1 was far easier than Paper 2.

My answers from Paper 1:

**PAPER 1**

**Q1(a)**2x-y-1=0

**(b)** 3x+y-9

**(c)** (2,3)

**Q2(a)** (x+2)^{2} + (y-3)^{2} = ([root]18)^{2}

**(b)** x+y+5=0

**Q3(a)(i)** 4x-3

**(ii)** 4x+3

**(b)** -3/4

**Q49(a)** -1<0.8<1

**(b)** 60

**Q5(a)** (2,243)

**Q6(a)** 5/4

**(b)** 2

**Q7** sinx = -1; sinx = 0

**Q8(a)** 2(x+1)^{2}-5

**(b)** (-1,-5)

**Q9(a)** Proof.

**(b)** (x+1)(k-1)(k+3)

**(c)** 1

**(d)** cos^{-1}(1/[root]121)

**Q10** No idea.

The 2004/2005 exams were much easier in my opinion...

Hmm, on second thoughts I'll settle for a B.

What did everyone get for the 8 marker?

And how do you do the 7 marker in paper 1?

Weird papers because some questions wre easy but others really hard! Do you think they will lower the pass mark or the mark to get an A? What was the mark to get an A last year?

Paper 1 was a dirty great behemoth in diguise, I reckon I only got about half marks for it. Paper 2 was a blessing, though. Pretty sure I've at least got a B

Wot the fook was the answer to part b of the last question of paper 2...the optiisation.

I got plus and minus two for x, but it cant be minus two cause in the graph all values for x are positive!!!

Overall i thought it wasn't easy...but it could hav been a lot worse!

Quite a few of my answers were different ot Bnehitos, such as #6. I got 3.25 in a), and 4.5 in b)

Think im screwed

In 6 i got 8.25 for a and 9 for b?

Don't worry, it's probably me that's screwed.

I was unsure about a lot of the answers but I'm relying on the marks I get for the actual working/methods...

overall i thought there were some questions i could do well and some not at all! the teacher went over it and i realise that i have made quite a lot of mistakes.

no way i can get an A hoping for a B (may get a verrrry low B!)

For the last question i got 0 and 2, probably not right tho!

Don't worry, it's probably me that's screwed.

Same!!

for paper 1:

1.(a) 3y+x = 13

(b) y+3x = 9

2.(a) (x+2)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 18

(b) y = x+11

3.(ai) 4x-3

(ii) 4x+3

(b) 7 or -9

4.(a) because 0.8 is between 1 and -1 (using the symbols)

Did anyone get an answer for the last question on paper 1? And for 5 I got (0.5 , 0). Is that anyway near right? Also for 6a) 0.75 b) 7
