That's interesting considering the girl who got the top mark in higher biology got rejected from natural sciences at cambridge this year.

maybe its an anomolous case, but they aren't accepted because of theair amazing mark. they are accepted pretty much all the time because to achieve the top mark you need to be really clever, and oxbridge only accept the cleverest, thus they accept those with the top mark.

also, biology isn't natural sciences, it's biology.

Hahaha do you know anything about natural sciences at Cambridge? You apply for biological or physical natural sciences, not "biology", so she didn't really have the option to apply for biology now, did she?

these two fools "paddyb67" and "cfesq" from earlier in the conversation are plain idiots because my dad is Colin Ekford who is the chief examiner of English in the SQA and he says that if you get the top mark in the country then nothing happens apart from them alerting oxbridge and you are almost garunteed a place in your said subject there.

I think one of the members here, miss macleod, got the highest mark for Higher Art if I remember correctly. Maybe she can confirm whether what you said is true...

miss macleod was contacted to be told she got the highest mark in scotland but also i know that business and computing subjects dont tell the people who get the highest marks as far as i know anyway. Its very subject specific and i would say again to daron that his dad isnt qualified to say what he said since he isnt a SQA employee

If i am not here i am somewhere else

The Herald have published their report for Higher Physics today. According to them, the paper was (according to their wee indicator type thing) that the paper was moderate, verging on difficult :S

1/6 + 1/6

= 2/6

= 6/2
