The physics wasn't too bad although I can't really remember it. The rest of it didn't go so great.

Exam started, fine. About 20 minutes in the boy next to me (doing INT2) said "How come I always get the wobbley table!" to one of the invigulators. Then she gave him something to put under it and complained about her sore back. It wasn't really that funny but you know when you can't laugh things get much funnier. I was trying not to giggle for about 15 minutes.
Once I'd finally regained my composure a HUGE wasp landed on my hand and was really really scarey. Then it walked about on my papers while the invigulator tried to catch it. So after being scared I got the nervous giggles once again and was silently giggling for another 15 minutes.
Then I started needing a pee. Really really really badly. I have never needed one so badly in my life so I finished the exam and just about ran out of the hall. I didn't manage to check my answers though, and I hope my last questions are readable because my hands were shaking.

So although the questions weren't too awful (although I don't think I did too well on 21, that was when the wasp landed on my and put me off) I really don't know how I did. I didn't get to take out the paper either, which I'm annoyed about.
If anyone is feeling kind it would be very nice if someone scanned it and sent it to me. Then I might be able to compare solutions.

The first one was E and I didn't get any As until somewhere around 11 or 12 (I got two As in a row). Thats all I can remember.

Just got back too smile.gif

I think it went ok...as you said there were some easy bits and some hard tongue.gif

I particularly didn't like the question asking what was the work done to move the proton. All I could see was the potential diff..no charge of protons. Ended up just shoveing in the charge for an electron in the hope that i will get marks for the rest of the question tongue.gif

And ya..i would quite like to see what answers you lot got smile.gif

I did that too.
If the charge on and electon is -1 and a proton is 1 then they should be the same. At least thats how my reasoning goes.

I *think* that;s what they were expecting you to do, because there doesn't seem to be any other way to do it :S

and to start off section B..probz wrong, but;

21a] W=mgcos theta.gif =2600x9.8xcos12=24900N (to 3sf)

b] F=24900-1400=23500 F=ma implies.gif a=F/m = 23500/2600= 9.04ms-2

c] v2=u2 + 2as = 25+2x9.04x75 = 25+1356 =1381
v=37.2 (to 3sf)

Hey,Yeh I thought it was ok
was a bit confused about the proton question so i just used charge of an electron aswell
Duno if it's right was just a last resort as I couldn't think of what to use.
Hopefully i have passed smile.gif

i used the charge of an electron from the front of the question paper but i know that was probably wrong...

Ya i got E for the first one too tongue.gif

A- Aceceleration - vector, displacement - vector X
B- kinetic energy - scalar, speed - scalar X
C- momentum - vector, velocity - vector X
D- potential energy - scalar, work - scalar X
E- Power -scalar, Weight - vector correct

If thats not right...which one is wrong o0

(I was to slow to reply tongue.gif That means we all have 1 for sure tongue.gif)

Ooh I remember that one.
I think I'll start writng down what I think I got for each and then draw it onto a grid and see how many I remember.

22ai] impulse=area under graph = 0.5x8e-3x70 + 0.5x2e-3x70 = .28+.07 = 0.35N

ii] didnt understand that one :S

iii] or that one :S

b] or that one ohmy.gif

i should have an A ... altho i feel really stupid for not realising what the charge of a proton was sad.gif , altho i said ASSUME the charge of a proton is 1 and carried on so my answer for the speed way like 2x10^36 or something crazy.

overall i thought it was an easy paper.
