Yep, I'm crashing it and am predicted an A, without any prior experience in the subject. As long as you have an interest in current affairs, you'll be fine. smile.gif

Yeah it is a good one to crash. Depending on which secyions your school chooses to do you wil have gaps in your knowledge, but they will be easy enough to fill up (examples How a bill passes etc).

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it. Like someone said, take an interest in current affairs and it's all really common sense. smile.gif

i'm sure it would be okay to crash as depending on which topics your doing, it is all new stuff to learn so no previous knowledge is required from s.g (well to me=P)

I would have thought so - I'm doing this as a crash higher and I'm predicted an A - I'd never done any modern studies at all until 6th year (due to being taught at home - so no first or second year stuff either!)

Wake, melancholy Mother, wake and weep!
Yet wherefore? Quench within their burning bed

Like his, a mute and uncomplaining sleep;

I'm not being taught at home now - I was taught at home from primary six till fifth year, when I went back to school to do my highers. There are a few reasons why I was taught at home though - mostly it was because I was being held back in school - i.e. I was being made to do work in primary six that I had finished in primary three. So I was taken out so I could work at my own pace - which is why I did my highers at fifteen, and why I'm staying on for seventh year!
