Hey most of know may know that if you have chosen to do certain subjects, and if you pass them you will recieve a group award.
I think i might be getting the SGA in Science at Higher, as im doing Higher Physics and Higher Maths.
What subjects are you taking or which awards will you get?

I have no idea what a SGA is. I know it's a Scottish Group Award, but what kind of qualification is it?

Do u not have to have some sort o working with others qualification to get a group award. Its not just on the subjects you do.

Ok
Scottish Group Awards
A Scottish Group Award (SGA) demonstrates that a learner has achieved success at particular levels of study in a range of Courses/Units and has a core skills profile that is complete and at a level appropriate to the SGA. These qualifications are designed to prepare people for entry to further and higher education, training or employment.
Basically if you study a range of subjects like me for example H Maths, H Physics, H Chemistry, and you pass them, then you will get the science award for passing those subjects in that particular group.
If you more info talk to your guidance or head teacher.
I just thought that most people knew about it.

Yeah you need the 5 core skills, which most people should have.

So I only do 2 science-ish subjects- Chemistry and Maths
I also do Computing, English and Business. Does that mean I could get a SGA?

Here is a link to a web-site containing information about the SGA.

There is a predictor I think, so you can find out if your eligible to get one.
