and oddbins, technically this thread was made for emo-bashing, as you're asking for opinions on two emo-type bands. Anyways, slagging emo's won't exactly depress them more than they already are.... rolleyes.gif

I like both...equally.

To be honest but (maybe I am just asking to be flamed) I don't see the deal with "emo-bashing." I like
*some* emo music (although I don't dress like one) and I hang around with people who are "emo" and they are pretty cool.

I just don't understand why alot of people don't like emos huh.gif and why no-one seems to pick on goths /moshers etc....

..and whats with all this labelling any way?

They are constantly whining about how much life sucks?

I suppose I prefer Panic! but the Fratellis are MUCH better.

To be honest with you, I sitll don't know what "emo" music is.

I live under a rock.

Although, I'm not as bad as one of my friends, who didn't even recognise Green Day.

And we'll thank Son of Dork for the chorus of "Murdered in the Mosh" there.

That kind of attitude bugs the living hell out of me.

Son of Dork write all of their own songs. James Bourne also wrote nearly every Busted song, and worked with Tom Fletcher with many songs on the first McFly album.

James is in LA right now writing for the new SOD album with Mark Hoppus from Blink 182.

Everyone has them as being a "stereotypical boyband" but boybands have moved on so much since the days of Boyzone and Westlife. They're boys, and they're in a band, but they do actually have a little bit of musical talent.

It doesn't bother me when people say they don't like them, but when they say they don't like them because they don't write their own stuff or play live, it irritates me because that's utter bollocks.

But I have to say, I do appreciate Charlie Simpson for forming Fightstar - they're awesum!!
