This is a biology/maths problem that I'm stuck with so I thought I'd post it on here and see if anyone could give me a hand with it? The figures here are different from the ones in my book so I can try the actual problem myself.
If 0.30ml of blood flows past point X per second, and the flow rate at Y is 5cm/s what is the cross sectional area of the blood vessels at point Y? What assumption have you made?
I have a theory on how to do this but it seems far too simple. Any help or hints would be great, thanks.
