Same goes for if you're deaf. I had the benefit of extra time in the exams, although I never had to use it though.

there is alot more to dyslexia than just being able to spell.

Some forms of dyslexia doesn't effect ones spelling

Listen no offence also thats good to hear you did good with the surgery. Now Lindsay do you not think you need to go out more, as you always on HSN and talking to your 'net' mates. Just saying theres more life than the net, as there are people outside.

I'm sure she will go out more. Just as soon as she can actually walk 5 yards again without extreme pain. smile.gif

Obviously as a trained physician you'll know that going out and getting drunk and putting strain on your body after surgery is the best thing for her right now.

Yeah. I'm alright at spelling most of hte time. Well, the letters of the word are there but maybe just in the wrong order or something, even for easy words. And htere is the odd occasion handwriting goes back to front...which can be quite amusing for the reader wink.gif

It also sometimes affects reading, especially reading aloud. Or if there is long paragraphs and tiny writing its pretty hard to read.

Concentration goes a bit too. For example, listening to instructions - I can be *listening* but it goes in one ear, bypasses hte brain and out the other ear.

Anyway, thats just the main things i've noticed in my dyslexia. Its not that big a problem, went years before it was properley noticed.

I actually havent taken extra time in exams yet.

Who thinks Rocky should be perm-banned? Or is it just me...unsure.gif

All he does on the forum is post homework questions for everyone to do for him, and flame forum members. Perhaps we should all flame him...rolleyes.gif

i'll jump in and throw my worth in

It's entirely up to lindsay what she does with her life and she might find the people on this forum as similar to her and is able to talk about all her problems she has. She has went through a lot and although i dont know the ins and outs of it it must have been very hard on her and her family. She may find the internet her way to escape and feel free of the terrible things that have happened to her

i think she should ba applauded for doing so well with coping with it and im sure other people on this forum are over the moon she is back.

Get better soon lindsay and best wishes
