I got this Q about 2 adjacents of a bicycle wheel with Centre P
(a) Use the Sine Rule to show that
r cos(w/2) = p sin w
(b) Hence show that: p= 2r sin(w/2)
*Well I have got (a) as look:
The diagram shows that the "Angle= (180-w) 2"
Which cancels down to "sin90-w/2"
So now using Sine Rule:
p sinw = r (sin90-w/2)
But I am not getting (b) to work out, so anyone can help me with this part.
