Yeah I got my History appeal and my Human Biology appeal biggrin.gif

So I've got AAACC now which is a lot better than what I had whistling.gif

Kinda wish I'd stayed on for a 6th year and tried to get more A's now, but hindsight lol. Uni is much more fun! biggrin.gif

My maths teacher phoned me to tell me I got that appeal...so it's AAABB now...just waiting for geography. I thought the pupils were usually first to know blink.gif.

Lucky you! I never went back into school after I got my exam results, so I hope my teachers have appealed for me.

I'm waiting for 3 appeals:

AH Maths (B to an A) (75% in prelim)
H Geography (B to an A) (81% in prelim)
H Accounts (C to a B/A), (97% in prelim)

I hope I receive a letter sometime soon telling me the outcome!

got told yesterday, that I didn't get my appeal for English so I'm stuck with a B. Still they're letting me carry on with the Advanced Higher so it's not too bad I guess.
Oh weep for Adonais—he is dead!
Wake, melancholy Mother, wake and weep!
Yet wherefore? Quench within their burning bed
Thy fiery tears, and let thy loud heart keep,
Like his, a mute and uncomplaining sleep;

Hmm.. I've been starting to think my school haven't appealed for my English, when quite frankly they should've since I asked them and I have evidence and a medical cetificate! I don't know what to do now! sad.gif

Hardly any people in my school were successfully appealed, guess I just got lucky. biggrin.gif

My best friend got her geography appealed from a C to an A, which is quite a jump, and the other person was a super smart girl who ended up only getting BBBBB in her highers (not that this is anything to be ashamed of!!!), but she wanted to do dentistry so she needed some A's. She got her maths and geo appealed to A's only because the headteacher put in a letter with the appeals saying that the only way she could do her desired course was to get these new grades. But Glasgow Uni gave her an unconditional anyway, provided that she attain minimum of B at adv high chem and bio, and A at crash higher physics. Which means she is going to put a ridiculous amount of pressure on herself and quite possibly not even achieve this. blink.gif

I was very happy to get my appeals, didn't think the school would really bother since I got my place at uni through clearing, but its definitely put my mind at ease knowing that my grades have improved, especially since I got AAAAC in my prelims and only AABCD in my highers. Part of that was due to my lack of focus and effort, but at least I've now got what I felt I should have (AAACC), though I know I could have done a lot better had I only put more work in - no one to blame but myself glare.gif

Eh that's all I've really got to say about appeals

Oh god, I got so exciting for a second, thinking that 'Who knows, I may get an A for english on appeal' . I went back to reality realising that ain't gonna happen. I got a C in my 1st prelim and a B in my second. But who know though

I never got my German appeal. It would have really helped me too, boosting my results to ABBD instead of ABCD which (For Uni) only gives me two grades I can use for an Accountancy degree. I've been asked to get 2 B's to get into my desired course so lets go for that!

My German teacher was very surprised that I didn't get my appeal though. You definitely can't re-appeal?

I am at uni now, do you think it would be OK to phone the school up and ask them about my appeals?

There's no harm in asking. They should be able to tell you if they put in appeals and if they were successful or not...
