What do you want to use it for? If it is just for molecular shapes there is FREE software which you can use.

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

I never got to play with them at school - the teacher brought them out once or twice in my whole time from standard grade to advanced higher!

you really were deprived at your school!!

Once we put all the sets together and made a model of a buckminster fullerene molecule!

My teacher got them out at every available chance

and nathanm everyone else is also sitting on their computer at midnight?!? so youre not alone laugh.gif

Hmm maybe I was deprived. (Was 4 different teachers, should they all be struck off?)

I was teaching my higher friend all about polar covalent molecules and hydrogen bonding today. I like chem. tongue.gif

Buckyballs are in unit 1 as an example of a covalent molecular structure.

We have jus finished looking at the polar / non polar stuff.....teacher got most annoyed coz sheets were asking us to draw ethyl ethanoate... and he thought it was to draw as a full structural molecule

Yup its kinda similar to a benzene ring hexagon bit but its got 60 carbon atoms in it and its actually unsaturated where benzene isn't

edit:do you mean your teacher didnt know how to draw ethyl ethanoate!

No, bucky balls are \[
C_{60}
\]
.

Benzene is
\[
C_6 H_6
\]
and is drawn as a resonance structure.
