Having real problems with reccent homework ex. The question involves being able to derive alpha=rw^2 for the centripetal acceleration of an object.
The answers prob really simple but I've spent ages on this question and I'm still confused

Can you post the actual question? The derivation that you are talking about should be in your notes.

Basically you want to know something like this I would imagine:
