Does anyone eles' school make the S6 do community commmitments? We get made to do 1 in S5 and 2 in S6, just wonderin if anyother schools do it.

If so add to this tread ur school and your commitments.

Im from Ross High and doing ASN Support teaching and YOung enterprise.

Lucky you, they're EVIL, eh Trace? Surely the point of 'study periods' are to 'study', but oh no, we have to do all this community stuff. I mean I don't mind it's nice to give something back, but the amout we have to do is ridiculous.

at my school most S5s do a 3-4 week block of community placement but in S6 u dont av to but u can if u want but most ppl do work experience instead

well.. it was all fun and games until halfway through when we only had 3 people left. I was Finance Director and also Acting MD??

we ended up making £400 (approx) and we split that among us lol!..

we got something like £25 each and there was like 10-15 in the class...so that was nice at the end of it

I do community involvement in a primary school, it is an optional thing in our school, but they put pressure onto you to do it. Our young Enterprise group won the "Best Company Award" last year (I wasn't part of it, but knew people who were) and they made £6,208.68 last year. I'm at Lenzie Academy
