Someone said to me that the average number of weeks holidays for students at uni is / can go up to 25 weeks a year. Is that true?

my uni course is 30 weeks - 2 12 week teaching blocks, & 6 weeks of study leave/exams, 2 weeks in january & 4 in may/june. so that means 22 weeks are hols for me
when i'm dancin' with you,
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,
& i can't even dance

Terms at Cambridge are 8 weeks (or less) at a time, so we get a lot of holidays. (23-24 weeks of being there a year, including exams).

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

There are only 22 weeks of classes at St Andrews. You get just over 3 months at summer, 2 weeks at xmas, 2 weeks after exams in january, a reading week (holiday for a week!) in november, 2 weeks for easter. You do have to work hard but it's great!!

yeah you get great holidays when your an undergraduate! But to be honest can get a bit boring being off for so long in the summer. However I won't have that problem this year because going on a three month work placement at Berlin TU over the summer
Can't wait!
