I think that if you're pleased with your results, that should be enough, but I know some people's parents do crazy things to reward their kids, like buying cars blink.gif

I anyone getting a major treat?

If I got £300 for every A, I'd have £1800! That would be good.
I got 8 1s in my standard grades and got a phone but it was really for my birthday, I just got it a week and a half early as a treat. I didnt get anything last year because I got 4As and a B and not 5As. I dont think I'm getting anything this year either

Mum and Dad are taking us out for dinner tonight, and the past two years my mum's either paid for me to get my nails done or bought me a new top or something.

I don't expect to get anything when I do well. Doubt I will, if I do that's just a bonus.

Nothing special. High expectations. I think the euphoria from the results is a wonderful treat on its own.

200 x6As= £1200
100x 2Bs= £200 therefore I should have £1400. I wish I'd get a day of doing the dishes instead though, I'd pay £1400 for a week off of doing the dishes.

100x6As= £600
50x 2Bs= £100 therefore I should have £700. I'd pay that for my birthday without having to do dishes.

I got the wonderful treat of my mum telling me that since I've done so well in my exams I'm obviously too good for the course I'm going to be doing at uni so I shall be wasting my time for 4 years with stupid people who only just made the grade and I should have chosen something more challenging.
dry.gif

And last year I got: '*unimpresssed* "Will you be able to get in to uni with those grades?"'
Err, yes.

Not much of a reward is it. Talking of REWARDS (so not off topic here), what is the unrewarding course of under-acheivers (who dont deserve rewards) that you are talking about?
In other words where were you planning to go and what course?

I got a new phone today (Nokia 6230i) as a reward, but is the only reward I have ever had over the years apart from nice meals and the like.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!
