That's a bit presumptious, just assuming he meant a hangover. He may have been talking about waking up next to some complete munter.

I haven't had a hangover in ages.

That being said, I haven't had a proper drink in ages.

I woke up on the sofa at my friend's flat at 6.30 with the sun blaring through the window. I think I groaned "mmmehhh-arrrrghh" for about 15 minutes before finding the strength and gut to actually get up and close the curtains.
It was actually a pretty crap night - girl I like couldn't go, folk from work that I don't get on with turned up and then I tried to set up my friend with a girl we met and it was going perfectly until he blew it by being a grumpy git despite admitting he liked her and there was the usual work arguments that break out on a drunken night!

Oh! Tonight I'm out with same crowd! No drinking for me though, best behaviour. biggrin.gif

Do you know what is SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO annoying?

When pal number one says, "Yes, Lindsay, I'll come see the Dykeenies with you so you can drool over singer boy!" then the night before, at like midnight, texts you and says, "Oh, I've just remembered I'm working tomorrow. Sorry!"

So you find pal number 2 as a substitute, who says at 3 in the afternoon, "Yeah, sounds good to me!" but when you text her to check details etc. DOES NOT REPLY.

So now I'm not getting to see the Dykeenies and drool over singer boy which I've been looking forward to for over a week because FRIENDS ARE CRAP.

I am witholding pal number one's ticket for their gig at the QM next month as punishment. I'll find another pal to go with me instead. HMPH.

I washed my hair and everything. I don't like washing my hair. Yesterday, for example, whilst washing my hair, a wee bit off a sale sticker from work came out of it. It had been hiding there since Friday.

I give Airdrie a good name.

Absolutely everyone has said that to me, and I answer it with, "Their singer is hot."

So their singer is hot.

Or look here.

They sound pretty cool. I'd go see them with you, but it looks like I've just spent this month's pay on gig tickets. >.>

I'll talk Gillian into going with me. She's never heard of them, but I'll win her with, "Singer boy is hot."

I'm like, totally pissed out of my mind. Drinks were a quid each per unit, so I got really fucked up. My mate ended up buying me five shots in the last round. I've had too much to drink now. I, like, totally dread the hangover that is to come!!! sad.gif

i know how you feel about rubbish friends Lindsay. there was a school disco at the Shed on Sunday night, which i've been looking forward to since the last one (beginning of June). friend from work said she'd be up for going, then ditched me cos of a family dinner with her other half. & other friend ditched me for her other half, who she split up with that same night. i was not a happy helen.
when i'm dancin' with you,
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,
& i can't even dance

It's crap, isn't it? I don't know if it's because with my friends from school, we're just used to making an arangement and sticking to it if possible, especially if one of us is really looking forward to it. If we don't want to do something or we don't have enough money, we just say. We don't let the other person go thinking they're going to go out and have a great night.

Friends who ditch you for boys are the absolute worst though. I cannot be doing with that at all.

People are stupid. I've been saying it a lot lately, but they really are.

On the bright side, my dad said he'd pay for me to get my hair done to "straighten my face". So I'm booked in for a cut and colour next week. Hooray.
