gotta ask - where, exactly?
when i'm dancin' with you,
tomorrow doesn't matter,
turn that music up,
till the windows start to shatter,
cos you're the only one who can get me on my feet,

One of my mates broke the midbeam on my king sized bed at the party last Sat. Got a fair idea of who it was. But I can't even find the midbeam on its own on the IKEA website, which is very annoying. Anyone bought a bed from IKEA with the midbeam? If you have, any ideas what the price is? I've tried googling it with no luck. sad.gif It's the HAMAR midbeam, if anyone was wondering. I just need to know, so I can tell that person to pay me back for the breakage. tongue.gif

Many a doctor has shove a finger up my backside. I did say to one, "Steady on, I know I'm from Airdrie..." but he was foreign and didn't get it.

Speaking as a girl who's had a camera shoved up her rear, smear tests can't be THAT bad.

And HELLO! I'm back from Spain. All was well apart from a cockroach infestation.

I could talk about internal examinations until the cows come home, if you really wanted me too. Bikini waxing is another favourite weird topic of conversation. My friends cringe whenever I open my mouth. I just don't understand why...

But yeah, go look at my holiday photos on Bebo. They're marvy. I like comments too.

Ahahaha... Do you know... In fact, I'm going to shut up. No one cares. I'll go to bed now. I didn't sleep last night, we ended up sleeping in the living room, with my fine self wedged between the two armchairs, because we had a cockroach visit. It freaked us out so much that we couldn't stand the thought of sleeping upstairs any more.

We actually baracaded the upstairs bathroom. You see, on Sunday night, we got in at about 2am quite drunk, I went up to my room and spied a cockroach running across the floor. So I made Elaine kill it because I'm a big fearty. That is the photographed cockroach. We disposed of it over the balcony off my room.

"There'd better not be one in my room..."

Would you believe it, there was! So she killed that too, but not after the two of us standing screaming as it soared through the air, and by that point, we were both quite freaked out. It too flew from my balcony. Mrs Across the Way was sitting watching us and looked most confused.

"Right, I'll go brush my teeth..."
"Check there's not one in there, aha..."

And WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT, there was. It was even bigger than the last two. So Elaine did a bit of frenzied spraying with the cockroach killing spray and left it in the bath. Then I spied the vent thingy in the ceiling and guessed that that's where they were coming from, so Elaine gave it a bit of a spray to warn off any approaching cockroaches and ANOTHER appeared OUT OF NOWHERE. So she killed that too. Then we grabbed our toothbrushes and make up remover wipes, slammed the bathroom door shut and stuck a towel along the bottom to stop any getting out. We then both slept in Elaine's room, all the windows and doors shut, nearly died from overheating, but were cockroach free.

We thought we were safe until last night when we got in, a wee cockroach was crawling along the wall beside Elaine's suitcase. Out of shock, I kicked the cockroach-removal glass which was at the top of the spiral staircase, which then flew down the spiral staircase and smashed into smitherenes. So we killed that quickly, left it lying on her bedroom floor, and I did a quick clean up operation of the stairs while Elaine threw everything in our cases to get them downstairs so we could sleep there for the night. It was a HOOT. So, yes, there are three dead cockroaches lying about in my grandpa's Spanish house for the cleaning lady to deal with. We nearly left her a note apologising but I can just about say "hello" in Spanish, and that's it. So the note would have said, "hola" and would possibly have had a picture of a cockroach and a toilet beside it as a warning. We did leave the cockroach killing spray in the living room, as a hint, however.

Monday was fun, too actually. That was when Elaine dropped a glass on the terrace at the front and I crawled along to the end of my lounger to investigate, only to have the end of the lounger collapse on me. I managed to steady myself but I could've had a face full of broken glass. Then on Monday night we went out for dinner, I had about two mouthfuls of my Thai green curry when my stomach decided to have a weirdo Crohns spasm and I had to go heave in the posh loos. They didn't have sinks, it was like a ledge and the water ran down it and disappeared. It was very Linda Barker.

But yeah, all of that aside, I had a grand old time. You should see my suntan. biggrin.gif
