im the opposite from you, i find it much easier to manipulate something into different answers that way i know i have a chance of being right no matter what i say, where as in chemistry and maths its wrong or right, which just puts me off to start with

This year's Fenella Feline (CAT) in Peterhead's Pantomine Pinocchio!

i like it because there is usualy only one correct answer...not like subjects like english where theres about a million different ways to write an answer
I think that's the problem for me. Because there's generally only one answer, you feel like such an idiot if you get something wrong. And if you're wrong many a-time, you start to dislike the subject.
*feels particularly depressed over current chem. h/w*
On a slightly related note, does anyone think that the blue "Revision Questions for Higher Chemistry" book is rubbish? The questions are unclear and dragging. Which sucks, especially since it's the main medium for our homework. ><;

I never used that. I'd recommend this though. Probably the best revision book for Higher Chemistry, imo.
