Looking at my timetable on MyEd there are quite a few lecture overlaps. :/

Yeah, I'm certain that timetable thing is wrong! Half of all my stuff overlaps!

It's the last night of Freshers' Week and nobody wants to go out. So it looks like I'm gonna be sitting around watching DVDs >_<

Ach, I need to go buy my bus pass tomorrow, then work 12-5. And I still need to find out the details of my first class/lecture for Tuesday!

Even more conflicting info.

I found my timetable, apparently it's 11am, tomorrow at Appleton Tower LT 1.

Then Maths is at 12:10 tomorrow at LT 3 at Appleton Tower.

However, the details are the same as yours for my old timetable >_<

Okay, after these first few lectures I get the feeling my wallet will be lighter. The Informatics books are £72 and I just found which Maths one is recommended: Calculus: A Complete Course. This is gonna be an expensive month.

Well try and get them as cheap as you can (i.e. second hand) and don't get a book if you're not yet sure you'll need to buy it. I hope we don't have to fork out too much.
Got another EH lecture at 9 AM today then Geography at 11 AM or so. Bit of a hangover but should be ok for the freshers' swim trials this evening. :/

I'm in the library at the moment checking out my tutorial groups for Informatics 1A. I really need Tesco to change my Friday shift though because it clashes with my Economics Lecture.

Informatics wasn't that expensive for me last year - I only bought one book and that was in Semester 2 (Deitel's 'Java: How to Program'). To be honest, I hardly even used that one! I was too busy doing the maths assignments, and completing all the programming tasks too biggrin.gif

The Adams book is good, but again I've not made much use of it. I've not done any of the problems; I just used it to read up on stuff which baffled me in the lectures.

Plus, if you do Honours maths in 2nd year, the Adams book has useful material for a couple of courses.

I will buy the Adams book, but it will have to wait until next month when I get paid. I've got the Deitel book on order as well as the Haskell one (Which I need to read 54 pages of by Monday). I want to go back to Freshers' Week with the drinking and stuff!

It seems like all those Strathclyde folk are beating us on the meet/social front. I think we should all agree on a time and a place (Preferably somewhere with a liquor license) to meet up.

They are? We can't be having that. (lol)
Teviot Underground tomorrow at 9:30 PM? At the first seats as you come in the entrance? Just a suggestion.
Scott, I'll PM you my mobile number.

Small problem with tomorrow night (And Saturday night). I'm working till 10:30 >_< Tesco still haven't sorted out my shift swop. I could make an effort to get in, but my chances of getting home without paying £30 for a taxi are slim to none!

Got your text. I'm pretty easy about times if there's a meet up happening as I'm only 5-10 minutes from Teviot/Potterrow.

Lucky! We'll get something organised in the next week or so. I'm meant to be in on Monday night for my mate's 18th so we may end up in Potterow or Teviot.
