Nope, we lost. sad.gif First match we've lost after beating Glasgow, Glasgow Caley, St. Andrews, and Heriot Watt (all at home) so far this season. Their guys' team was really good and although our girls team beat theirs, they won overall by 7 points (not much). Went to Revolution Bar then Campus after though which was good fun.

Next fixture is Stirling Sprints (against all unis in Scotland) on Saturday, then the British Unis Short Course Champs in Sheffield the following weekend (click here for the draft programme), then Dundee away a week on Wednesday.

By the way you're grinning I'm assuming that you made an invaluable contribution to the swimming team at Strathclyde?

Stirling Uni has the best swim team in Scotland. Three of their swimmers swam in the Athens Olympics (Todd Cooper, David O'Brien, and Nick Neckles - the first two of which will be at the British Unis).

According to the Edinburgh Uni website, "Edinburgh is Scotland's leading sports University".

The gym here is actually amazing.

Hehe, 'Townhead Tech'.

At the Glasgow Uni Freshers debate, Alex Salmond said 'I'm a professor of Economics at the University of Strathclyde'. There were numerous crys of 'its a college'.

Stirling Sprints (and the night out at the Stirling union after) was quality!

I have sore feet from doing the freshers' run (shoes came off as well as everything else).

I didn't get in any individual finals but that can be my goal for next year. Craig (Holmes) got in two individual finals though - that training at Stirling must be doing something right! Men's free relay team came 4th and the girls won both their relays and we got a few individual medals too. However, they fucked up the presentation of the medals something awful so a girl that came 6th got presented with a silver medal and our winning girls' relay team a bronze. :/

Looking forward to BUSA next weekend.

Had the BUSA short course swim champs at the weekend. Messed up a couple of swims, one swim was ok, and one was really good.

Unfortunately there isn't one of my in my 50m fly race that I did a personal best time for.
