Back to the original subject- The Big Bang could've happened due to nuclear fission, its taught in Chemistry. Applying enormous energy to one particle can create a bigger particle which can then be split into 2 elements and the process continues. I myself believe that God created the universe and if he didn't then he did at least provide the energy to create the fission process in the first place.
