just wondering what you guys think the grade boundaries should be for this year. After sitting it today i think they will lower some of them.

im hope a B is 60% , and i think it could be seeing as paper 1 was harder than normal.

pass mark will probably be at 76-80% for grade A, since most people found it easy =/

i dont think most people found it easy though. This forum is just a SMALL percentage of the whole people in scotland taking it. They have to look at it from a large prespective. Practically all my class found the paper 1 hard especially.

It wasnt easier than last year.

I agree with Pac (I hope you don't mind me calling you that since you have taken the name of the greatest rapper ever tongue.gif ). Generally (could be very generally), people that use these forums will be the ones that have a real desire to do well. E.g. it is unlikely that neds, etc would be found here (I am being very genera here)

yup thats exactly what i mean biggrin.gif

they only change the boundries after marking everyones papers and looking at the percentages.

They dont log onto forums like HSN and find out how people found it (or i hope not! )

Yea, I know people who got under 30% in their prelims and decided to sit the exam today without any revision so they'll be pulling the pass mark down. Plus we get excellent tuition from Dave. smile.gif

I knew a guy who got 4/70 in one of the prelim papers. Mainly because he was constantly stoned and invented his own methods of doing questions tongue.gif

Nope, the grade boundaries are usually released a couple of months after the results are released.

Yeh its always a nervous wait though, I have to tell you that sometimes the SQA mess up a little bit with their website and we get the boundaries before they are released due to some computer wiz-kids who regularly check for slip ups. Cant guarentee that happening this year though

That wasn't the grade boundaries though.

That was just the % pass rate for each subject IIRC and the SQA have sorted out the problem me thinks.
