I don't get tense or frustrated waiting for my grades though... last year I was suprised when I found out I had a letter telling me my grades. I took ages to actually look and see what it was...

I expect to get an A. I got 88% in my prelim and found this much easier than the prelim as I didn't miss out any parts of questions at all.

will getting B for this year probably be 60% considering it was harder than last year.

Hopefully I will get an A first time but I have strong evidence to back me up if I get a B (I got 85% in the prelim and 95% in the extra prelim - I only managed to get that because I was lucky for the questions)

im not sure if this is true but my school said the majority of appeals are unsucessful (but in ur case prob not!). They have to see how hard the schools prelim was before upgrading you.

That's true, although i managed to get my modern studies upgraded to an A last year, even though we didn't even do a second prelim

I really don't see how that's 'arrogant'. I know some people don't want to tempt fate saying they've done well, but if people think they've done well (thought paper was easy) then I don't see why there's a big fuss if they say so, aslong as they don't repeat it all the time!

Looks like I'll just scrape a C.
Going from an Intermediate 2 C to a Higher C would be a real achivement for me; Maths has never been my strong-point. I'm somewhat more of the linguistic nature.

I think the pass mark could be around 46% I have spoke to lots of people who think they failed paper one by a great deal.

I just think it is, it really annoys people who work so hard to achieve a pass, then people who come out saying oh that was so easy you would need to be stupid not to get an A.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone has said 'you would need to be stupid not to get an A'. If this post does exist, please direct me to it so I can deal with it.
You said people were 'arrogant' by voting 'A' in the poll. It just doesn't make sense to me how it can be arrogant. Do you think people who think they've done really well should vote that they get a C?
