um...no you can't find out your results by asking someone - I wanted my mum to do that last year 'cause we were on holiday at the time, but they don't get put onto the SQA computer system until the day they come out

I got k = the square root of 10 for question 10a in paper 1. Did anyone else? Am I right?
<MrBob> I hate Uni. At least in film studies we get to talk about Fight Club.

I thought paper 2 was extremely easy but paper 1 was harder than I expected, for my paper 2 answers I got:

Q1. 2x^2 + (1/x) + C

Q2(a). Got 84/85 so got the marks.
Q2(b)(i). cos(p+q) = -13/85.
Q2(b)(ii). tan(p+q) = -85/13 = -6.46 (to 2dp).

Q3(a). Got the equation to match.
Q3(b). y = 3x - 3.
Q3©(i). C(2,3) cos it's where the perpendicular bisector of AB and the equation of CA meet.
Q3©(ii). x^2 + y^2 - 4x - 6y + 3 = 0 and i put (x-2)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 10.

Q4(a). TA = (-5, 15, 1). TB = (-40, 15, 2).
Q4(b). 50.9 degrees.

Q5. 36!!! Yeah woo that's right because I checked it on my calculator and all my friends got it as well.

Q6. y = -1.5x + 18 or 3x + 2y = 36.

Q7. 2.87 which is 2 and (13/15). Yeah woo that's right as well.

Q8. Got 1/2k.

Q9(a). £252Million.
Q9(b). 40 years woo what a shagger boat.

Q10. 4.5? Can anyone tell me if this vector one is right?

Q11(a). Got that x = - 1 is a solution for the cubic.
Q11(b). -1<= p >= 3. My friend got this as well and I think it is right.

I can't remember much for paper 1 except that Q9 i got sinx and cosx as 4/5 and 3/5 (can't remember which way round though) and i mucked the graph question (Q10) and for the last question(Q11(b)) I got 5 but i think it is route 5 as I forgot to unsquare it.

I finished paper 2 in about 50mins, so I had plenty of time to check it. In the past papers paper 1 was always the easier of the 2 but they must have changed it this year because I thought paper 1 was a lot harder than paper 2. To be frank, paper 2 = pish easy, paper 1 = pretty hard but manageable. Not rubbing it in btw.

You had to split the areas then add them up.

I got it as 2:

its the square root of: (-root 3)^2 + (1)^2 --> root of (3+1) = 2

Maybe I am wrong though

Paper 2 Q3 was a bad question, I think I might have flooked it but if I did, the way I did it was not obvious.

I used the perp bisector from the first circle, but it seems that part c has nothing to do with b????

You should get about 6 marks so dont worry.

Somepeople I know just got 18 then stopped they will get hardly anything.

Where do these negatives come from?

I drew out a triangle with (p+q) as the angle and 84 as the opposite and 85 as the hypotenuse

Can anyone go over how they got the final answer in Q5, I keep trying it and am still ending up with 18 and I know I'm just forgetting something.

Also for the last question, I messed up a sign so ended up with p^2+2p-3, which means I got my answer reversed from the normal, anyone know how many marks I'd lose on that?
