Anyone getting nervous yet since it is only three days away?
I'm sure I'll pass and have no worries on that and I should get an A according to my teacher and my 90% prelim mark but I'm getting nervous on whattype of questions we will get.
Since this is the first year there is no past papers to look for patterns in and my teachers only advice was that Service costing is likely to be the compulsory question in Management.
Does anyone else have any tips from their teachers or predictions for the questions.
I reckon that NOt-For-Profit will be the Financial Compulsory Question.

I'm looking for Clubs as the compulsory question for Financial Accounting. You can't expect them to dump Companies, and then there's Partnerships, Maufacturing and Ratios that could come up.
For Managerial, I don't know what to expect for the compulsory question. I'm hoping that it'll be Break-Even or something. Service costing is quite hard in my opinion, so I'm hoping it isn't the compulsory question.
But think about it, how likely is it that both new topics are the compulsory questions. I'd die to see Stock as the compulsory question. Just sat a 2nd Prelim and was surprised to see it as the compulsory question there. Is FIFO and LIFO in the Higher syllabus, because I thought it was just AVCO.
My predictions:
Q1 Compulsory - Clubs
Q2 Choice - Companies/Manufacturing
Q3 Choice - Partnerships + Ratios
Q4 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Q5 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Q6 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Q7 Compulsory - Process Costing
Q8 Choice - Overhead Analysis/Job Costing
Q9 Choice - Budgets or Break-Even
Q10 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Q11 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Q12 Theory - Chose One Of Three
Yes, I am predicting that Profit Max will be dropped. It is scary how much managerial I will need to revise. I'm poor on several topics, yet on Financial I can do close to 90% of the stuff. The theory is pot luck really, although I'm getting prepared to lose some major marks there.
Either way, there is such a wide choice, you just have to get lucky on the day.

I told you.
The SQP, MA Complusory Question.
Adding costs up and then finding the cost of - for example - a passenger mile. No of miles/Total Costs.

Service costing is when you find how much it costs for a period of time for a particular service,... like if you had a bus company you could find how much it cost in total for the year for operating one bus, then per passenger, get the profit margin/mark-up the business wants and you got the charge per passenger per mile.
