How much would you require to write for say a 10 mark question in Admin??Also is it better to write in bullet points or as a mini essay type thing??

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT write in bullet points in this exam. It will not get you anywhere.

The best thing to do is if you have a lot of things to write about, put headings in.

For example, if you were to write about the different types of computer software you could have 'Word Processing', with features, advantages and disadvantages; 'Spreadsheets', features, advantages and disadvantages; 'Databases', features, advantages and disadvantages; and so on.

Have a look at some of the marking schemes, or the specimen question paper. I'm pretty sure it's one mark for a point, and one mark for developing a point, but that may not apply to every question. Have a look at the specimen and see the types of questions that this marking system will apply to.

I would imagine that if it's a 10 marker, and you're thinking of writing in bullet points, you'd want to make 10 points, but as I said it really depends.

All I urge you to do is not write in bullet points.

In my exam, I usually -as james says- used headings.

I would have a heading for each part of the question and would write all I knew about it. Bullet points are not good! They show that your simple and instead of making up your own answers, your simply just rewriting the key points from, say, a text book.

Also, keep your answers well structured. By that I mean, keep each paragraph specific to 1 topic. Take a new paragraph wen movin on to the next point your wish to say

Yup thats right, DO NOT write in bullet points. I don't see why not because you get to in english, and you get the information down quicker, but my teacher always goes on about not righting in bullet points.

Thats typical of admin and business though. You have to write loads to get a mark. I suppose the no bullet points rule is because you are then summarising to much and even if its paragraph sized bullet pointed answers then your not realting them to a specific heading or subject you know, hence the use of headings.
