Had 40 lessons and failed my test twice.

Although I can drive I just get too nervous on the test.

Unlucky Gary, have you got a date booked for your next test?

Yeah 21st February I hope I pass it this time because it is costing a fortune.

This is just the beginning as well. If you get a car you need to buy it, insure it, tax it, service/MOT and petrol

If you are using a parents car (like me) only a few of them apply (PETROL!!)

If i am not here i am somewhere else

I have a car and all the insurance and everything.

I have spent £100 to sit a 30 minute test. It should cost at maximum £10.

I assume it is because Gary's including the cost of using his instructor's car for at least a couple of hours on top of the 51 quid test fee. 51 quid is over the top though if you ask me.

When did you last book your test? My tests on January 15th and on February 5th both cost 51 quid. I read on the DSA site the cost recently went up.

Exactly you are not only paying for the test you are paying for the driving instructors car aswell. I think they should make it free for you to borrow the car for a test after all the people pay.

Exactly and even though the test is only 30-35 minutes they charge for a whole hour because they have to take you home after the test. So they say.

I think you are allowed to use your own car or you parents car, but you need to have insurance, and also an interior mirror for the examiner to use blink.gif

300 for them is nothing they must be earning 1500 a week. They should count themselves lucky such an easy job for the prices.
