On page 5, question 3 of this pdf, shouldn't the terms in the brackets be divided rather than multiplied, seeing as the sign for the equation is '-'?

I'm not great at logs but was just wondering if its my mistake or whatever wink.gif

Yes, that appears to be a mistake.

The previous example is of the log(a/b) form, so I would say the error is in the question rather than the solution.

Also, on the second line of the solution there should really be an extra set of brackets around the whole log term.
