I got a digi cam from santa this year, it's nothing special but is enough for me. the flash is far too bright though

Cows are magnificent,
Cows I call them "moos",
And sometimes silly folk,
They call my moos "coos".

That would be nice.

Here's some of my sunsets with the 2.1MP CoolPix (and significantly resized):

Just before sunset:

Some nice lenticular (lens shaped) clouds in this one:

And although I've already posted a link to this one I thought I'd show the image itself because it's my favourite - those are mammatus clouds (sorry the quality isn't that great):

Took this a while ago while out hill walking, nothing like Brendan's but still looks OK I think.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

Here is another one that I like, I took that when I was down in Cambridge:

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

i do a little photography. I recently bought a Canon Powershot G6 which has been excellent so far (supposed to be 7 million pixels although i couldn't tell the difference to my 4 million pixel older camera

might come in useful for the adv higher art next year.
i too like doing the scenery. at school, our artist in residence has been encouraging us to take photos of things (mainy objects) from a strange perspective - although i find this interesting, i don't understand WHY.

in the summer i am going to the art college summer school for a week where i shall be doing a bit on photography i think. can't wait!

Thanks oddbins and Sharon!
There's a fair few people in my year at school that went to West Lothian College this year for Higher Photography - I did Higher Chemistry instead though.
