NO! Dont give up a C gives you something to work from. You can look at your prelim and find out where u went wrong and correct and improve on those areas b4 the final exam.

Yeah, definitely don't give up. It's nearing the end of the course so you might aswell try your hardest for the exam.
Asking your teacher for where you went wrong and possible improvements would probably be worthwhile.

Yeh I bombed nearly all my prelims and always have done every year. I always pull it through for the exams though. Its just the stress and the strange eery atmosphere which gets you. Just study really hard and you'll get that A.

Hey, don't worry about it. I bombed the prelim big style. Achieving 38% isn't exactly fantastic, but it is what you do with the results that counts after the prelim! The past week I have been revising Electoral systems and voting behaviour in an effort to start bumping up my grade topic by topic. I have given myself three weeks to master a topic, and only sitting three in the final exam, it should help to focus (In my opinion!) on three or four. Give it your commitment and you shall do well!

Aye, totally don't give up. I scraped a C in my Modern Studies pre-lim last year, but got an A in the actual exam. Hurrah!
Pre-lims are silly.

Since I've been teaching this course, every class on average has done better in the final exam than in the prelim - don't be disheartened...

Don't worry about it, I got a D in my February prelim, then studied really hard for a second prelim a month or so ago and got an A. The electoral systems unit is an absolute gift.
