According to the 2004 figures, here is the percentage of people who got A, B & C etc for some subjects:

This might give you an indication of the 'easy' and 'hard' subjects.

Ally, from the link given - its suggested that admin was 'hard' with the largest percentage fails and the lowest precentage As, but i done Higher Admin and all my class got As apart from a couple of people.

There is too many factors to define easy subjects hard subjects - too many differences. Teachers, personal level and capability, personal choice, school, mates (peer pressure) etc etc are all important factors.

I agree to disagree on this one!

Those were just given to give an indication on the % of people attaining each grade; not the level of difficulty.

It's up to people themselves on how to judge if a subject is 'easy' or 'hard'.

AGREED!

lol, thats definitely the case.

Conclusion: there is no official 'easy' or 'hard' subjects. Any assumption that a subject is easy or hard is down to personal opinion only. tongue.gif

Well admin is quite easy but do remember that last years exam was the biggest mess up ever in Admin.
Psyhics is only easy for scientific/logical people.
Its all about personal preference and always will be.
I'm one of these people who are neither logical or practical so struggle really hard to get grades either way.
I dont know whether its a blessing to have equal portions of each or a curse.

Try considering how people approach subjects. If you find particular subjects hard, (e.g, Maths), then, there is a possibility that u wont do ur best in that subject. and just like performing, if u enjoy it, ull do good at it id say, that goes for school subjects too!

I suppose it is also related to how you performed in your Standard Grades, since essentially its just taking things one step up - although for some people that step is huge. So I suppose a subject would also be harder/easier depending on how well you performed in it initially as that forms your whole backbone.

I did Higher Math and enjoyed it immensely and breezed through it. Then there's those in my class who failed every NAB and Prelim. Unsurprisingly, they were the same ones who couldn't operate with fractions.

I only done two highers this year, but I thought Admin was mostly common sense, pretty easy BUT the course is changing so maybe it will be harder.

I really enjoy chemistry and work hard at it to do my best, hence, finding it easy. However most people in my class find it really hard. Also because I am a fluent Gaidhlig speaker I found that easyl! It depends on what you enjoy and are good at, just like many people have already said!! I found maths the most challenging as I really do not like it.

Personally, Higher English was the easiest higher. But then again, I put a lot of work into the final exam. So, as said, I think its just about how much work you do, how naturally gifted at a subject you are and what kind of a person you are.

Hardest, was probably History or Information Systems. History was just tricky. Information Systems was just boring.

I didn't really find my Highers 'difficult' as such, just found it difficult to keep focus, because some of them are so boring that you just can't pay attention.
