well done werlop! i haven't got my mark back yet. prelim was ok, although there was nasty question on the splitting power of ligands, and the born haber cycle which i wasn't too keen on.

Last time I checked with my teacher he said he hadn't marked it, and it's study leave right now so it'll be a while before I get the marks back.

Unit 1 is probably the easiest of them all. You've probably come across a bit of it in Unit 3, with the orbitals stuff?
We're like half way through Unit 3 at the moment, and it's not too bad. Unit 2 is the hardest IMO.

Yeh, I thought the orbital stuff was from unit 1.
I think unit 2 is probably the hardest, although it's getting easier the more work I do on it.

There's so much to learn in Unit 2. I don't like the Borne Haber cycle either.

my prelim is on the 7th of march and i havent had time to do any revision for anythin yet. Yeh i totally agree, unit 2 is by far the hardest!!

found out i got an A in my prelim to, not quite as good as werlop though i (only, lol) got 83% so excited though as i thought i was going to fail.

Got my prelim mark back aswell today (finally! ) and found out I got an A (Band 1) which I'm well chuffed about.

hey i have my prelim on monday! ive had exams everyday this week so i have done no revision for it at all. My teacher was only makin it up today and has told us nothing! It has all of the units in it n i think its does up to NMR. I really have no clue - no one in the class does! any advice?
