A company wouldn't want to increase it's costs to make more profit. It would want to raise it's selling price or raise the cost to the customer.

Just a wee mistake
HSN81100 - page 12 under "conflict"
"maximise profits by increasing costs"
A company wouldn't want to increase it's costs to make more profit. It would want to raise it's selling price or raise the cost to the customer.

Thanks for pointing that out; the word "costs" should probably be changed to "prices".
I've made a note of that, and it will be corrected when the document is next updated.
