As offers are coming in fast what Uni/College is everyone wanting to go to now?
Im thinking about going to Glasgow as oppose ton Strathclyde. Went off Strathclyde now. Although I'll need to get my mate to get me into Strathclyde Uni.

Glasgow rather than Strathclyde for me as well. Still not 100% of course.

i take it people are prefering Glasgow because they are getting unconditionals there but getting conditions with Strathclyde

Nope, I've preferred the idea of Glasgow since the visits. But anyway, I got conditions for both since I only did 3 highers this year so not really a decision I would make based on that.

I have unconditionals from both Glasgow and Strathclyde but I still prefer Glasgow. I wasn't too keen on Strathclyde when I visited in September.
The race is long, and in the end it's only with yourself.

i have always prefered Strathclyde and you know i can't tell you why maybe its just because i spent 10 days there in June and got a true feeling for it

I havent got any offers yet, afaik, cause i dont have my ucas thing yet.
Out of the 6 i put down there's only 3 i really want into:
* Law - strathclyde/glasgow. If i got into both i don't know which one i'd choose. I hear Glasgow's better, but i quite fancy strathclyde uni.
*Arts and social sciences- strathclyde. Just a xourse that looks really good because there's a wide range of choice in 1st year.
I wish i would get some bloomin' offers though!

Cambridge is my first choice (although all hope of that will probably be shattered on hogmany which is when they send out their offers and rejections)
After that it's Glasgow then Edinburgh and then as a last hope, Aberdeen

I don't currently have the grades for Edinburgh but I hope I can get in if I can get good grades this year. I'm planning some more visits including Stirling for Comp. Sci. on the 16th of February.

I haven't had any offers yet, but I want to go to Glasgow Uni. Because it looks like Hogwarts. And because the West End of Glasgow is pretty. And if I went to Strathclyde, I'd spend all my free time living in TopShop, which wouldn't be good for my Poor Student bank balance.

ahh sleep now there is a thing
i been so bored of late that i decided to challenge myself not to sleep basically i got from onday morning to wednesday morning at about 4am where is started to feel dizzy and think it may not be such a good idea anymore

I think I want to go to Strathclyde uni over Glasgow just because I felt more impressed with the department at Strathclyde (Computing Science) than Glasgow's.
But I agree the old building at Glasgow Uni is nice.

Bah, I don't know, to be honest I don't see much difference between Glasgow and Strathclyde, I'm also doing computer science in 2005 and I think Glasgow scores better in those newspaper "top uni" lists.

Well I didn't feel there was too much of a difference but I felt more at home at Strathclyde. I was more impressed with the organisation of their open day.
I dunno it's hard to know if you're making the right decisions isn' it!?

yeah i definetly wish i had inside advice from a lectorer that knows the happenings in both uni's.
but strthclyde seems more into engineering and science(technical stuff like computing) than Glasgow which is more into the classics and similar stuff
