hey i have my unit 2 nab on tuesday! its not gonna be good, we are all kinda clueless. has anyone done it yet? wot kinda things are in it?

I have my NABS for units 2 and 3 the first week back after xmas.
So I can't really help you, try looking at the example in Scholar perhaps.
Why don't you tell us what it was like after you have sat it:)

i cant really say what is in them as that would be cheating
if you revise the notes then you should pass
take a calculator and ruler

I wouldn't call that cheating... more using all of your resources! it's chemistry, I mean c'mon we need all the help we can get!
How was the NAB anyway? Harder than Unit 1? Loads of calculations?

yeh its alot harder than unit one. it doesnt have too many calculations but it is outta 30 not just 20, in the same time limit so it is much harder! i did pass tho!!

I hardly think asking what topics were going to come up would be called cheating. that is rather patronising as others need help and i hardly think it would effect you too much for you to spread some of your undoubted superiority with the rest of us mere mortals!

going back to the subject though got my NAB on the 10th but not done any revision over the holidays. have five days to cram any suggestions on what to foccus on?

My unit 3 NAB is on the 10th and my unit 2 NAB is on the 11th, so I will be a day too late to tell you anything Douglas. On the other hand if anyone want any advice about either NAB after I have done them then just ask.

I did my unit 3 NAB today and it went OK I think.

Went not too bad. Got really confused on one question about ionic product of water. The multiple choice section was the part i fornd most difficult. Sorry this is so vague will post another reply when i get my score back later.

There was stuff about entropy, equilibrium, ph of a weak acid, bond enthalpies, free energy, oxidation and reduction, cells and other unit 2 stuff.
I've only done the unit 2 and 3 NABs so far. We are going to do the investigation then go back and do unit 1. Apparently it is the easiest unit and by doing unit 2 and 3 we have covered some of the stuff from 1 already, e.g. orbital theory.

Thanks, one guy in my class got 28/30 though!
I didn't do quite as well in the unit 3 test, I got 24/30.
