Edinburgh took 3 weeks to reply.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

I got my Strathclyde information pack a few weeks after, but they want to interview every one in this department before they make any offers.

See people who have their p.s sent to ucas on the deadline are they at disadvantage to those who have had theirs sent away for a week or 2...i'm a bit worried about that!

Cows are magnificent,
Cows I call them "moos",
And sometimes silly folk,
They call my moos "coos".

edit: it says usually done within 24 hours but it's been more, normal since it's a busy time of year for ucas or not?

That's a bit unfair is it not? Whats the point in having deadlines if people who send their's away quick are the one's who'll get the places? Why should people in schools who are going slower be penalised, when it's clearly not their fault?

It is crap tht they give out the places on a first cum first serve basis cause there is no way tht is fair! Nothing else that you have to apply to does that (like jobs or auditions) and it is a bit stupid that one of the most important things in your life, at this stage, is allocated on just a ridulas basis!

I think but i'm not sure but the university has to take a certain quote for each part of the country. So they can't take too many from a certain place to allow a fair chance for students. Have they decided if they are going to change the system of sending your letter of application before or after? I don't like how you have to send them before you get your grades, how are you garanteed a place - it would be such a shame if you didn't get the marks you expected. It's a real downer. Or get better!!
